How it works

Turn your project details into a useful first conversation.

Passive-fire work to arrange? Tell us what you know. We’ll review the details and look for a relevant specialist introduction.

No account needed · Reports welcome · You decide whether to proceed

What happens next

A clear process.
A decision that stays yours.

Four steps, with room to ask questions and fill in the gaps along the way.

  1. Your starting point

    Tell us what needs doing.

Start with the building, the location and the work you have in mind. You can upload an existing survey, defect schedule or photographs to help explain the project.

    • Choose the service and project postcode
    • Add your timescale and any known quantities
    • Share reports or photographs if you have them

No complete specification yet? Share what you know. Unknown budgets and quantities can be confirmed later.

  2. A person reviews the details

    We build a clearer picture.

We review your enquiry, identify any missing information and contact you where clarification would help. The aim is a useful starting brief for a specialist conversation.

    • Understand the scope and building type
    • Clarify access, timing and project requirements
    • Confirm who is arranging the work

Your reports provide context for the introduction. Technical interpretation and advice remain with the appropriate specialist.

  3. Relevant introductions

We look for a suitable fit.

We consider eligible contractors against the service, location, project size and capacity. A prospective contractor first receives an anonymised opportunity. We record their interest before approving an introduction.

    • Consider service scope and geographical coverage
    • Review relevant evidence and availability
    • Check interest using an anonymised opportunity

If no appropriate match is available, we review the network gap and explain the position rather than make an unsuitable introduction.

  4. Your decision

Discuss the work. Choose your next step.

Once agreed, we record the formal introduction against your project reference. Speak directly with the contractor about the building and the work. They assess the requirements, explain any further surveys needed and discuss their quotation with you.

    • Agree the scope, programme and written price
    • Check evidence relevant to your project
    • Decide whether you want to appoint the contractor

You choose whether to proceed and contract directly with the contractor. An enquiry does not commit you to hiring anyone.

Appoint with
a clear scope.

Confirm the contractor’s relevant insurance and certification, access arrangements, written quotation and the records you expect at handover. Ask about exclusions and any further surveys needed.

Our role in your project

Introductions with
clear responsibilities.

We arrange introductions. Contractors are responsible for their technical advice, surveys, specifications and work. An introduction does not certify a building or guarantee contractor competence.
