Help & information

Clear answers.
Before you get started.

What to expect from an enquiry, an introduction and the contractor pilot.

What work can I enquire about?

Fire-door surveys, remedials, installation and replacement; fire stopping; compartmentation surveys, plans and drawings; passive-fire remedials; fire-rated partitions; fire curtains; external or cavity barriers; and intumescent coatings. Tell us what your report identifies if you are unsure which service to select.

Who is the service for?

Managing agents, building owners, housing providers and facilities teams arranging commercial or multi-residential passive-fire work. Share your project location so we can assess contractor coverage and availability.

Do I need a completed specification or budget?

No. Share what you know and leave unknown quantities or budgets blank. We may need to clarify the scope before considering an introduction. A contractor may require a survey before providing a firm quotation.

What should I upload?

Relevant survey extracts, defect schedules or photographs can help explain the work. Only share files you are authorised to provide, and remove unnecessary resident details or sensitive information. Uploading a report does not replace a technical assessment.

What are the upload limits?

You can upload up to 3 PDF, JPG/JPEG or PNG files per enquiry, each up to 10 MB (10,000,000 bytes). Remove unnecessary resident information. If a file is too large, provide a relevant extract or contact us to agree a suitable way to share it.

Will my reports be publicly visible?

Uploaded files are held in the restricted management area. They are not listed publicly or automatically distributed to contractors. Relevant information may be shared as part of an agreed introduction.

Does an enquiry commit me to hiring someone?

No. An enquiry starts a review. You decide whether to discuss a quotation and proceed with a contractor. Any scope, price, programme and contract for the work are agreed directly with that contractor.

Do you guarantee a contractor or a quotation?

No. The network is in its pilot stage. Availability, service scope and suitability vary; submitting an enquiry does not guarantee an introduction, a quotation or an outcome.

What does contractor review involve?

The review considers company identity, insurance, relevant certification scope, comparable work, coverage and capacity. Applying alone is not approval. You should also check the contractor’s evidence against your particular project before appointing them.

Do contractors need an account to apply?

No. Use the contractor application form. Owner sign-in is for the business operator; it is not part of the contractor application process.

How do I update an enquiry or application?

Email enquiries@passivefireleads.co.uk with your enquiry or contractor application reference and the change. Let us know if the project is no longer proceeding or your availability has changed.
